| Travelodge
in Europe is now part of the Compass Group. It has 290 hotels located
throughout the UK and Ireland. Rooms are to a consistent plan and
quality as you would expect with a hotel chain of this type. Rooms come
equipped with a double or king size bed, en-suite bathroom with bath /
shower, wood worktop / desk area, remote control TV with satellite
channels. Family rooms are available at Travelodges that
accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (1 under 12). Travelodges are located next to a restaurant or fast food outlet, examples being Little Chef, Harry Ramsdens, Burger King, Bar Café or Fresh Plus at motorway service areas. Accommodation is sold per room not per person with breakfast available as an extra. Breakfast is served in the eating premises next to the hotel. At hotels with Little Chefs you can purchase a continental breakfast to be delivered to your door between 5am. and 7am. Travelodges can be booked over the internet or in the UK via the Central Reservations: Tel 0870 850 950 Travelodge have adopted an internet pricing regime similar to the "no frills airlines" such as easyJet. If a booking is made well in advance then "Supersaver" rates are available at £10 a room. Once these have sold out the next highest rate is the "Saver" rate at £26 per room. The remaining rooms are then sold at normal rates. Travelodge are rapidly expanding at present, but plans for locations in mainland Europe have not come to fruition. The chain is concentrating on the UK market. |
