Murphy's Law and Eurapart

"The further you travel to photograph a building, the more likely it will be covered with scaffolding"
Eurapart Law of Photography
This page is most definitely under construction!
My main job is not Webmaster of Eurapart but a Safety Adviser with a very large Construction Company. The time I have available to visit Europe is therefore limited. Just imagine therefore how frustrating it is after travelling across Europe to research and get photographs, to find your quarry covered in scaffolding.
Here are a few construction sites I have come across over the years.

Notre Damme Paris
Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris
They did a good job of obscuring the view. Fortunately, inside, the feeling of peace and tranquillity stays forever.

Rouen Clock

Horloge Rouen
The most photographed clock in Rouen if not France. Just look at that green debris netting and how it coordinates with the clock face.

Chambord scaffold
Chateau Chambord, Loire, France
This famous view has a good bit of scaffold complete with debris chute right in the centre of the picture.
Abbeville
Abbeville
Not so much this time but enough to ruin the shot.Arras

Arras
The Belfry is covered with something better not described.
Amiens
Amiens Cathedral
The scaffolding on the left of the picture hardly enhances the beauty of the tallest cathedral in France.

Aachen Rathaus
Aachen Rathaus, Germany
I will concede that the stonework is badly stained but it does add character. Whether the scaffold was to clean it, I'm not sure. Charlemagne's chapel close by was pretty much obscured by scaffold.
