Longer cross channel routes
There has always been intense competition on the short cross Channel routes but the current prices are incredibly cheap partly as a result of competition from budget airlines. The cheapest fares advertised in this weekend newspapers are from:
operating the Dover to Calais route. They are selling
tickets from £35 each way
for a car plus up to nine occupants, inclusive of all taxes and
surcharges. The fares are for short breaks (up to 5 days).
Ferrysavers have some crossings starting at £30 each way for short breaks, again including that free voucher for a bottle of wine.
Sea France are also
selling tickets on the Dover to Calais route. Their current
offer is tickets for £35 each way
for a car plus up to five occupants, inclusive of all taxes and
surcharges. The fares are for short breaks (up to 120 hours). Trips
need to be booked before the 31st March 2006 and completed before 5th
May 2006.

Norfolkline the ferry company operating the Dover to Dunkerque / Dunkirk route, are selling the cheapest seats on this route. Their fares start at £28 for a 5 day return, including all taxes and charges for a car plus up to five occupants. The offer has some terms and conditions limiting the availabilty of these fares on peak sailings.P & O
