Germany's Superbudget hotel chain is Motel One. Currently (Nov 2005), there are 10 MoMotel Onetel One Hotels in Germany but they have a target of 30 hotels by 2006.
The next hotel opening will be Salzburg. The hotels are being located within easy reach of Autoroute Junctions.
In common with most hotels of this class rooms accomodate up to three persons. Rooms have a double bed and overhead bunk. They have a colour TV, workshelf and chair. The bathrooms are tiled and equipped with a washbasin, shower and WC. They also have air conditioning which is becoming a standard in the leading budget hotels. Some rooms are available for handicapped guests.
In the Lobby food and drink dispensers afford 24hr access. Modem connection and fax facilities are also can also be obtained. Hotels have a free car park.

Motel One Receptions are open from 06h00 to 10h00 and 17h00 to 22h00. If you have prepaid you can collect your reservation using the automatic booking machine outside of Reception hours.
Breakfast is served in the Breakfast room and comprises a buffet.

The Motel One website has now dispensed with the intro Flash animation. It is easy to navigate and has a clear maps and photos. When I last looked at it it was only available in German though. You can request a brochure and newsletters as well as book online.
