Pisa and Rimini for Helvetic
helvetic the Swiss budget airline has added two new routes to its network. Starting on 12 April 2006 it will fly to Pisa, Italy three times weekly and from 18 May 2006 to Rimini, twice weekly. It has dropped its route to Nice in France at the same time as its announcement. The competition on the Nice route had forced the decision.
When the two new routes start operating, helvetic will become the only Swiss airline offering flights to Pisa and Rimini.
Pisa is well located in Tuscany with easy road and rail links to Florence. Pisa itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site with its famous leaning tower. Other attractions within easy reach of Pisa include the beaches of Northern Italy, the Tuscan countryside and vineyards.
