Easter 2002 Ferry price comparison
Ferry ticket prices can vary considerably depending on the crossing route used, when you travel and which operator is used. In general fares are cheaper for travel at night and if you avoid School Holidays, Bank Holidays and Weekends. Fares vary between operators vary but so do prices offered by Ferry Ticket Agents. Surprisingly the Ferry Ticket Agents such as Ferrysavers and Ferryoffers can offer tickets cheaper than the ferry companies. The difference in price between the Hoverspeed price and the Ferrysavers price demonstrates this very clearly. The table below displays the last price comparison survey of ferries and ferry agents carried out by Eurapart on 17 Jan 02 when a lot of the early deals had expired. These Standard Return fares start at a low £134:10 for Ferrysavers thus living up to the Ferrysavers claim that they won't be beaten on price. The Ferrysavers site quoted this price even though it wasn't the requested departure times but it appeared to the only booking engine flexible enough to display the best bargains. The price for travelling at the selected times was more expensive than the Norfolk Line price but Ferrysavers offer this fare option as well as Ferryoffers.
