European accommodation

The original objective of the Eurapart site was to cover Self Catering Apartments for family vacations in Europe. However, the e-mails received nearly all requested information on budget hotel accommodation, mainly by people wanting an overnight stop en route to their resort. Some people obviously find the budget hotels ideal for touring Europe.
That was where we started, but now we have information on other accommodation from Hostels through to luxury hotels and of course apartments. Apartments make an excellent base for a week's skiing or family holiday.

Locations

The type of hotel, hostel or apartment found in the different countries in Europe varies considerably. France has numerous cheap budget Hotel Chains which are now expanding into other European countries. Spain and Germany also have an expanding indigenous budget hotel chain presence. Italy though does not have anywhere near as many hotel chains.

Hotel booking

Hotels can be booked through their websites. Eurapart has a large list of hotel chains to compare then if desired book rooms directly through the hotel or chain. Alternatively look up these Hotel Booking Websites to search a large number of hotels worldwide and compare by price, location facilities and the like.

Hostels fall into two categories those affiliated to the International Hostelling Group and independents. HostelWorld has a great selection of mainly independent hostels and budget hotels. In latter years hostel offer more small family rooms which can be cheap to stay at if on a budget.

Apartments

France again leads the way with apartment chains and here again they are expanding into Spain and Italy. However you can now stay in an apartment in a major city.
